Danielle and I went to the dentist today for the first time in around 10 years. And it was a positive experience! And I didn't come away feeling guilty! Yay!

A friend gave Danielle the Complete Flumps DVD for her birthday, and we've been watching them together as a family. This is giving us lots of fun and me some inspiration for Pootle quotes

It's Danielle's birthday today, and she's 30! What a privilege to have such an amazing wife!

Last night she fell well trying to stop James falling off some stairs, and twisted her ankle really badly, looks like the ligaments are torn. So its a hoppy birthday.

James has been starting to talk and yesterday he learnt how to say (something like) "Happy Birthday" so I recorded bits of him and mixed it with the song I wrote for Danielle to walk into our wedding to ... We had James's first birthday party today - he turns one next Saturday!


Was great fun making a Carrot Cake in the shape of Prince Eddie, his favourite toy. What a blessing and privilege for Danielle and I to be his parents.

I had a great holiday last week, a much-needed break.

I had fun rearranging my office (the same space, but more space...), by making a piece of wood that my computers can rest on underneath my desk. Decided Desktop boxes should ideally be sideways since all the important stuff can then be accessed (both front and back). And hopefully going to be able to set up my music stuff in a more permanent fashion.

We went away to Scarborough for three days. It was a fantastic treat to spend ots of time with Danielle and James, read and eat and sleep. I read God's Smuggler to China and started reading Jesus Among Other Gods, both thought-provoking books in different ways.

My sister Debbie got married yesterday! What a fantastic wedding, on Oudekraal beach in Cape Town, with the mountains and the sea ... the wedding just seemed to reflect Debbie and Jonny so well. Celebration, Worship, Community, Joy.
