A localized Luganda Internet browser was launched on September 6, marking a historic milestone that transformed Uganda's technology landscape and highlighted the advantages of ease of translation amongst open source products.

Ed: Translate.org.za met Wire at the Idlelo conference in Cape Town where we offered advice, encouragement and support for the Lugandan translation effort. We are thus just as excited as the Lugandan team with this historic announcement. Well done to all involved
