Today the translations of Firefox into Afrikaans were released by the Mozilla Foundation as part of Firefox 1.0.1.

The Firefox browser has a number of useful features including tabbed browsing and popup-add blocking. This is what some leading American news sources had to say:

This is the first official release of Firefox in a South African language. We just missed getting Xhosa into this release but will make it available through our website.
